SCGA CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
75th SCGA TOURNAMENT OF CLUB CHAMPIONS – WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISIONS:
South Hills CC, West Covina
December 4, 2023
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
- 18 holes; stroke play.
- There is no qualifying as all entries are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each participant may only compete in one of the listed Divisions below.
- The Open and Senior divisions will compete without handicaps.
- The Women’s Net division will utilize playing handicaps based on 95% of each player’s Course Handicap.
WOMEN’S OPEN DIVISION ELIGIBILITY: The club champion must be a female amateur golfer who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time she won their club championship as well as at the time of the championship proper. Club champions must have a Handicap Index of 9.4 or less at the time of registration to be eligible for this division. If a club champion’s Handicap Index is 9.5 or higher at the time of registration, she will be asked to play in the Women’s Net Division, or Net Division in Palm Desert (Flighted with Men).
If your club champion(s) is not available to participate, we regret that no substitution(s) may be made (this includes runner-ups).
WOMEN’S SENIOR DIVISION ELIGIBILITY: The senior club champion must be a female amateur golfer who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time they won their club championship as well as at the time of the championship proper. Club champions must have a Handicap Index of 14.4 or less at the time of registration to be eligible for this division. If a club champion’s Handicap Index is 14.5 or higher at the time of registration, they will be asked to play in the Net Division. The champion must reach their 50th birthday as of Monday, December 4, 2023. If a senior club champion’s Handicap Index is 14.5 or higher at the time of registration, she will be asked to play in the Women’s Net Division, or Net Division in Palm Desert (Flighted with Men).

WOMEN’S NET DIVISION ELIGIBILITY: The women’s net division is open to female amateur golfers with an established Handicap Index who was listed on the club’s active GHIN roster at the time she won the championship as well as at the time of registration. All entrants must be a member of a club that is currently certified under World Handicap System requirements. Women may compete in the net division held in Palm Desert, also on December 4. This option is available for those that wish to play in a flighted championship with the men, instead of the women at South Hills CC.

EACH SCGA MEMBER CLUB MAY SUBMIT UP TO SIX (6) ENTRIES AS FOLLOWS:
One (1) eligible club champion may be sent to each of the following:
- Men’s Championship Division
- Senior Men’s Championship Division
- Women’s Championship Division
- Senior Women’s Championship Division
Two (2) eligible club champions may be sent to the Net Divisions by either submitting:
- Two (2) champions to the Open Net Division, or
- One (1) champion to the Open Net Division and one (1) champion to the Women’s Net Division

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, November 19, 2023
CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION & PAIRINGS: Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/womenstocc after entries close.
ENTRY FEE: $175
LATE ENTRIES: The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming there is still space available at the given event. Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and can only be processed over the phone or through email.
REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
